Vijay Khetpal MD
Board-Certified Retina Specialist in Texas
Dr. Vijay Khetpal is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreous diseases. He is board-certified in medicine in Texas and Oklahoma. He is one of the top retina specialists in North Texas and is affiliated with Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.
Dr. Khetpal began his academic training at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University with his medical degree in 2006. He finished his ophthalmology residency at Brown University in Rhode Island, where he established a significant interest in retinal diseases.
Dr. Khetpal then went on to pursue a highly specialized fellowship in retinal and vitreous diseases at the University of Florida in 2012. His fellowship concentrated on the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal illnesses such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears, retinal detachments, vitreous abnormalities and other sight-threatening diseases using both medicinal and surgical approaches.
Dr. Khetpal’s connection to the Texoma region inspired him to return to provide excellent retina treatment to local communities. He is now a prominent retina doctor in Sherman, TX and a skilled retina surgeon in Texas, providing advanced diagnosis and treatment for patients in Sherman, Denison, Allen, McKinney and surrounding cities in North Texas. Rupak Dhoot MD

Dr. Rupak Dhoot is a board-certified ophthalmologist with extensive fellowship training in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. As a dedicated glaucoma specialist, he helps people all over North Texas with both medical and surgical needs.
Dr. Dhoot grew up in Plano, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and then earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. His academic performance won him induction into the elite Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at UTHealth Houston McGovern Medical School in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, where he served as academic chief resident. He then completed advanced glaucoma fellowship training at the internationally known Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute.
Dr. Dhoot is a glaucoma specialist and treats glaucoma with innovative technology, including laser procedures, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), traditional glaucoma surgeries, and advanced cataract surgical techniques. We customize all treatment plans to the particular eye health needs of each patient to get the best possible visual results.
